Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive with the stipend she received from her students as she worked part-time. Lennox was not happy with the quality of her performance compared with the other students at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, when she joined a band called Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance on I.T.V's Talent program New Faces. She sang lead in The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. The band she was in, was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva, which was released by 1992. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let the door open... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on 25 December. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a singer. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to achieve international fame in 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva produced many successful tracks, such as Why as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album has cover versions of songs including No MoreI Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own and one compilation album, are the result of her efforts. |
